Islamorada is the sport fishing capital of the world and tarpon are plentiful in the spring and early summer. The tournament is catch and release, in accordance to fishing regulations.
You will fish with the best local guides. They will help you regardless of your fishing experience.
Imagine heading out in the morning or evening to fish the bridges for tarpon with five different guides and five different anglers. It’s a great opportunity to experience the beauty of the Florida Keys, catch tarpon, and support Scouting.
Your participation in the tournament directly supports the programs of the Sea Base, serving more than 15,000 young men and women each year. The Sea Base delivers ocean adventures that make a lifetime difference, and the Tarpon Tournament is a fun way to support that mission.
Bring your spouse or guest, they’ll enjoy the luau, opening and closing banquets, trips to Key West and Miami to see historic sites, great shopping and dining, beautiful sunsets, and more!
Sea Base is a unique Scouting program that offers aquatics programs found nowhere else. Whether your interests lie in sailing, scuba diving, rustic camping on an undeveloped barrier island, fishing or a combination of all, this is the place for your Troop, Team, Crew, Sea Ship or Explorer Post. Sea Base serves around 16,000 participants annually.
